CVS shopping

This is an over view of last week’s CVS haul, it was a little planned, but there is a lot I did not get. I am a little late with it, but it shows you the great things that you can get and do at CVS.
The first deal I did was Febreze. If you spent $20 you got a $10 ECB. I got two of the large bottle of the fabric spray for $6.29, one of the air effects for $3.79, and one stand and refresh for $3.79. My total was $20 and change so that allowed me to get the $10 ECB, I also had 4 $1 off coupons that I could use.
The next deal was the Eucerin/Aquaphor in which you spent $20 you get back $10 ECB. I got two Eucerin skim calming lotion at $8.49 and one Intensive hand cream at $5.79, which brought me to $22.77 so I was able to get my $10 ECB. I also had three, $2 off coupons that I could use for these products.
The last deal I got was one Venus & Olay razor for $11.49. The deal was to get one razor get back a $5 ECB. To go with this deal I had one manufactures coupon for a $1 off the razor and the magic red box spit out a $4 off of $10 razor coupon that I could use on it too.
I also got a bag of candy and a pair of gloves that were one clearance from Halloween. I had a $5 ECB and a $10 off $50 purchase that I used.

Before anything my total was $61.40 after all my coupons and ECB my total went down to $27.79. IN the end I got back $25 in EBC, so $2.79 is what I paid for everything today and had a 55% savings in all. So it was a pretty good trip for me and I have $25ECB to work with for next week’s trip.

TheBodyNeeds eye shadow review

I said I was going to do another review of TheBodyNeeds for their eye shadow. I got my order in about a week ago and have been using them since, and also realize that I had one of their eye shadows for a while that I go in a swap. Everything I got was on sale or clearance because I hate spending full price on anything. I got the colors:
Lilac matte- soft lilac matte
Golden Copper – metallic golden copper
Tricked- frosted bronze
Pandora- Frosted golden pink
Patience- light baby pink matte
Lolly Luna- pale lavender with a teal duo chrome
Fools Gold- light yellowish gold with pale green pearl

They are all pretty pigmented, the lights one are buildable if you would like them darker. I love every color that I have but Fools Gold is my favorite. That is the one I have had for a long time and always go back to it. They do not bug my eyes in any way. I put them over whatever eyelid primer of the day I use then usually a NYX jumbo pencil. Most of the time I use the white one, Milk, but some days I will us a colored one. I can put them on at the start of my day and still have them on when I wash my face at the end of the night. They do fade as the day goes on, but you can still see what the colors they are, just not as vibrant. They can be a little blotchy and you have to play with them a little, but I really like them and for the price I have no complaints. They have tons of colors to pick from and good prices even when they are not on sale. I may not care for that one lip luster I got but, I really really like their eye shadows. They also sent a sample of another lip luster with my order. It is called Mystic. In the pot it came in it looks like is should be a berrish purple shade, but when you use your brush or finger to put it on there is no color at all though. It is more like a scented lip balm, it smells like berries. It does feel good on the lips and leaves a nice shine, I just do not like there is no color at all. I like tinted lip balms and it would have been great if this turned out to be one.  I have some pictures of the shades, but for some reason the pictures were not working out no matter what type of camera I tried to use. This review was held up a little bit because I was fighting with the pictures.

CVS haul

I went to CVS today because I had a $10 ECB that I had to use before it expired.  I went with one coupon and no plan, but I think I did pretty well.
The first deal I found was wrongly priced CG lashblastlength mascara. It was normally 8.99, but they had a 50% off sticker on the price tag. It was the wrong item, but they gave me half off. I asked the store manager about it and was not going to get it because I felt bad, but he encouraged me to get it. So that put it to $4.50 and I had a $2 off coupon I could use on it.

Nyx was 40% off this week, so I checked out what they had. I got two items from them. First a limited edition Individual eyes in 001 Super Vixen. This will be my first time using an NYX eye shadow. I love their lip sticks, but hate their pencil eye liners, so we will see about this. I also got their new Plumping Big Bold lip gloss in 473 Full on Fuchsia. The shadow pallet was $4.99 but I got $2 of because of the sale and the lip gloss was $3.99 but I got $1.60 off. The magic red box gave me a dollar off coupon I also used on these products.

I tossed in a drink, .99$, and mints, $2.27, to fill up the $10  ECB. After my three coupons and the sales my total was .15$ for everything. I did not get any ECB back, but this will trigger my $5 ECB from the Beauty Club which I can use next week for my deals. I missed posting about two other hauls because I have been sick, and work has me working like a dog and I have just never found time. I also have three weeks of mail freebies coming up.

Products not worth buying

I am not a person who likes to do negative reviews, but I have two lip products that I have gotten, that I just do not care for no matter how I use them or what I do with them. These are things that I got with my own money and kind of sad about them not working out.
The first lippies is from a web site called The Body Needs. It is their lip luster in Tokyo Pink. The packaging is simple and that is one of the reasons why it is a cheap price. I would have really loved for it to work because the color is so pretty. The site says it is a dupe for MAC’s St. Germain, having not used or seen St. Germain in person I cannot say yes or no to that. For this is that the lip luster is super soft and gooey. It is in a very thin lipstick tube, and I would have thought that is would have stayed like a normal lipstick, but it is nothing like it. I cannot twist it back down because it is so soft and yucky. It goes on your lips like a gooey, sloppy mess. It does not go on smooth; it is super hard to get a smooth coat on your lips. Once you put your lips together it is all over the place again. It is just a greasy mess that never sets or stays in place. I have tried it with lip liner, concealer, anything I can think of to make it stop bleeding and stay put. I did get a sample of MAC’s Candy Yum Yum from the site which was great. The shipping took around two weeks, but there were no problems at all with that, or ordering from the site. I would think about ordering more samples from them, because I cannot see spending the price on a full tube of MAC that I will never use all of, but I will shy away from their lip products. Within the next two weeks, I am going to look into ordering some of their eye products so I can share what I think of them with you. They have amazing colors at a good price that I would love to try.

The next product is the Wet n Wild megalast liquid lip color. The only color I have is Click on my hyperpink ,924A, I am very glad it is the only color that I have. I LOVE this color to death and wished this was not a negative post about the product.  First thing I noticed was the scent; it reminds me of old burned plastic and just makes me want to put it away as soon as I open it. It goes on smooth and even with no problems. The problems come into play once it starts to set. It gets so dry on my lips I cannot stand it. It settles in every line of your lips so it makes them look dry and yucky too. When I put it on I put lip balm on first, then apply the megalast and top with a lip gloss. I am still not sure if I like it how it looks this way. The lip color still settles in the lines and makes it a little blotchy. I have not tried to see how long it lasts because I am not happy with it and just take it off again. Overall the color is gorgeous and very pigmented, but it is so drying and settles into lines so it makes me not want to wear it. It also leaves nasty pink on everything from cups to food.

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last

So last week I posted about the Jordana 12 HR Made to Last eye shadow pencils I won. I have tried them a few days since getting them and thought I would share with you what I thought. I will give the pros to start with because I really wanted to love and use these. The colors I got are perfect and beautiful for a natural eye look. The shadows are so creamy and go on like a dream. There is no pulling or pain on the eye lids. Once on they blend out perfectly, and they look great together.
Now time to talk about the down side of them. I cannot wear them; no matter what I did or how I tried them they bugged my eyes. They would make them watery, itchy, and irritated. I had to stop in the middle of driving and remove the make-up because I could not see well from my eyes watering. I have sensitive eyes with about two other products, now this adds another one. I am not sure what is in them or why they do it, but I am so sad that they do. I have never used any other Jordana products, so I am going to try to find some more to see if I can use them, because of how well these seem to work. It is an inexpensive make-up brand so once I can find some I can get a bunch of things to try out and see how they work for me.

Overall, if someone does not have sensitive eyes I recommend these. They are so creamy and blend able. I found them on Cherryculture.com for 3.99, so you cannot beat the price and they have 8 pretty colors to pick from.

I am also adding Jorana's Facebook page, add them and watch out for the great giveaways they are always doing.

Maybelline Dr. Rescue Baby Lips!!!

OK ladies, I will admit it I am a lip junkie and a Maybelline lip junkie at that.  I have been hunting high and low since I heard that there was a new Baby Lips coming out. I have almost all of them that have come out. I LOVE them and always have at least one in my bag. I looked high and low in my town the last few weeks trying to find the Maybelline Dr. Rescue and today I sort of struck gold. I honestly forgot that we had a Rite Aid in town because I never go in to it, but I had time and saw it so I went in. BINGO, they had them, but they only had one color left. That made me sad, but happy because I could at least try one. I got the pink one and of course I forgot to save the package to get the real color name. I have been using it since I got it this afternoon. It is a menthol lip balm and I love that so much. You put it on and it tingles and cools your lips. It makes them feel soft and refreshed.  This one gives your lips just a soft hint of pink, which is great for on the go. This is great because you never need a mirror to put a little on. I put it on twice in an eight hour period and it lasted both times and kept my lips feeling great. I highly recommend these and there will be more added to the review when I find more colors and get some more use out of them. I was just too excited to wait and share that I found them.
