UGLee Pens= LOVE

I received some pens the other day for review and they are WONDERFUL. They are the UGLee Pen, designed by Dr. James Lee. Here is their site http://www.ugleepen.com/. This pen is made to be comfortable for anyone to write with. In my household I have pre-operation carpal tunnel syndrome, my mom has bad arthritis and has had her hands operated on twice, and my sister is a college student along with myself. We all took a pen and went our own way. Well I personally write out everything I am doing by hand before typing, so I write ALL the time. I can usually only write for a very short time than take a break and do that over and over again because writing really hurts my hands. I can honestly say that I have not had that problem with this pen once. I could write for hours and not even think about it. The pen is so light and the grip is great. I do not know how Dr. James Lee came up with this pen, but I am so grateful for it.  My mother and sister also both love this pen. We have not let these pens out of our site since day one. We have taken them to the bank, the doctors, anywhere we think we might have to write. I have had many questions about them and I am so happy to share the information about them to the people that ask. I have not found another pen that works like this one. It really is a pen that works for people that have any kinds of problems with their hands. I wish I could write and then scan in what I write instead of typing now, because typing bugs my hands but these pens do not. Also the ink and writing quality is A+. It writes the first time every time and is so smooth. It just glides across the paper perfectly. Being left handed I get ink build up on my pinky finger often, but I have not gotten it with this pen either, which is great. I honestly cannot give enough praise to these pens and how much I really love them. I will say they are a little expensive to get your first three, but then you can buy refillable ink for them.  I am going to order the ink to refill mine so I can keep using them. Truvía® natural sweetener Product Review

 In my Influenster Love Voxbox I was giving Truvia Natural Sweetener to try. It has taken me a little bit to write a review because I am not sure what I think about it. I have used it in hot tea, on fruit and in ice coffee. I think the only way that I enjoyed it was in the hot tea. When it was in the tea it blended well and gave the perfect sweetness to the tea. When I used it on the fruit and in the ice coffee it left kind of an after taste in my mouth. I did not like that at all about the product. It was also harder to mix in the ice coffee than regular sugar. So what I get from it is that it would be ok in hot products but I would not use it in cold ones. I personally do not think that I would buy the product again because of the after taste. Here is their web site if you would like to take a look. Box's I have gotten

So I have been a little slow at writing lately. Sorry about that, my comp crashed and my phone died. I am a little more together now, but I may not have pics for my posting for a little bit.  This post is just a quick update on some of the boxes I have gotten. First box I got was my Teen Vogue Birch box, which I LOVE!! I am so happy that I picked the teen vogue box; I am not even sure what was in the normal box. Everyone I follow got the teen vogue box as-well. Well this is just a quick list of what came in mine:

1)      Essie’s luxeffects in as gold as it gets. I love the color, and it looks great alone or over color. I have been trying all kinds of things with it to see how I like it best. So far I love it over Sally Hansen’s No Hard Feelings.

2)      Kate Spade New York perfume in Twirl. This is a great fruity, florally type mix. I think it will be such a great scent for the spring. I love the perfume samples we get in our boxes, such a great way to always change your scent to your mood.

3)      Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime.  This works so well in my hair. It makes it super soft, shiny and straight. I was so happy with this I went and got a full size one and I never get hair products.

4)      Tarte’s Lipsurgence lip tint in Lucky. My sister and I are in love with this. It is so fun to use, love the crayon style of it. The color is great for spring and it has become my go to lip color.

5)      Twistband, hair tie in a super light pink. I am not sure what I think about this being in the box, but whatever, everything else was SUPER GREAT and I will use and have been using the hair tie. I just wish it was something different.

All together this was a great box and so happy that I got it. I hope they do more boxes like this in the future.

    The next thing I got was a Cravebox that I won from a giveaway by a1nettie on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/a1nettie). Thank you again, I enjoyed this box greatly. Everyone should check out her Youtube and from there her blog, she is super great and has great freebees and box openings. I do not have pictures of this box because of my phone, but I will link a picture that I found online for it.

 So in this box I got:

1)      Amore Pacific treatment cleansing foam and moisture bound. I have never seen anything like the moisture bound before, it is a spray for your face you can use whenever to help keep your face moisturized.  They both smell super great and I really like how the moisture bound makes my face feel.

2)      ThinkThin bars. One was creamy peanut butter and the other was a mixed nut bar. I got to try the mix nut bar and it was AMAZING. My sister took the other bar on me and I have not gotten to ask her what she thought of that one.

3)      Three packs of Eboost. I have to say that this one is not for me. I tried it and could only stand to take one sip. To me it tasted like salt water with a slight orange taste to it.  So glad I got to try them before buying them for myself.

4)      Downy Wrinkle Releaser. I have not used this yet nor have I ever before. I will say that I love the idea of it and so glad to have it. I am going to skip ironing something next time I have to wash them to see how well it works. If it works well it would save me so much time. I however do love the scent of it. Once I got it I sprayed it I could not wait to at least smell it, lol.

5)      Bic Mark It. We got 6 of them in great pinks and purples. They are a fine point permanent marker. I can never have enough craft type stuff. I love color, crafting and pink so I will find many uses for these markers.

This was another great box. I have been on the waiting list for a few months, but it is always full so I was super excited to get one box while I wait for the member ship to reopen.  I will post all the links again so you can check them out if you would like.

Baked Classics

I received some interesting new crisps to try and review last week. They are from Baked Classic and they are in the flavor Vanilla Frosting. It is a 1oz bag with 120 calories. They are gluten free, have no Trans fats or cholesterol. They are a multigrain crisp, which is very new to me. I will admit when I saw the flavor I felt a little odd about it. Who would think of vanilla frosting as a flavor for crisps? I had everyone in my house try them and they went over well.  They kind of feel like a super thin rice cake, but much more of a chip crunch to them. I really like the texture of them, very different than anything else I have tried out in the market. The taste does remind me of vanilla frosting; they hit the nail on the head there. It is a nice light flavor though. They are not overly sweet or strong, I think it is just right. It gives me just that little bit of sweetness that I am looking for. I think they are kind of addicting, you eat one than you just keep going back for more. They are a great snack to have a night when my craving for something sweet hits, so I do not munch down a piece of cake or something. They do not leave an after taste in your mouth, which I sometimes find with food in this line. I think overall this is a great bag of crisps. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone. Kiss Nail Dress

Another product I received in my Love VoxBox from Influenster to try and review was Kiss Nail Dress. I got the pink cheetah like pattern called Bodysuit which I LOVE. They were the ones I was hoping for as I started to see others boxes. They come with 28 nail stickers in the pack so I used them on myself and my sister used the rest. The first thing we did was clean and buff our nails to make sure they were nice and smooth to give the stickers the best surface we could to stick to. Than you pick the right one for you nail, slowly put it on and make sure you are push a little bit on them to keep out any bubbles, at the end of the nail we bent the sticker over and filed off the extra. I will say I stink at sizing my nails. I had gaps on almost all my nails, but it was my own doing. Once on though they looked pretty good. My sister did a much better job and they looked great on her fingers. We both put clear polish over the top just for a little extra protection and shine, but it is not needed at all.  For me using them took less time than using normal nail polish and I could not mess them up. Any time I paint my nails I always hit at least one before they are fully dry and I hate that. It was also super fun spending the time with my sister and putting them on. That was a great plus with them. My sister had them on for 8 days before she took them off. They still looked pretty good; I was highly impressed with how they held up. I took mine off about 4 days later, just because I am ALWAYS changing my nails. Over all I give these an A and would use them again. I think they have great patterns and they are so much easier to use than nail polish. They are also very easy to change to match your outfits, hair, or make-up whatever you want them to go with. I want to get more so I can get use to sizing them to my nails. I think after a few more tries I will be a pro. Great product Kiss Nail Dress, I really really enjoyed them. Venus & Olay Razor= LOVE

I got to try the Gillette Venus & Olay razor from my Influenster Love VoxBox and I am in love with it. After one use I gave out the rest of my razors and got refills for this one. This razor is a five blade razor wraped in two Olay bars. The bars look large, but they move so easily as you are using it. The bars smell so good too. These bars make it so I do not have to use shaving cream. The moisturizing that the bars give is great. I do not think my legs have been so soft and smooth in forever. I was always jumping razors to find one that I could get this result from. I cannot think of the right words to tell you, how happy I am with this razor. The handle feels good in my hand and I have full control. PamiPocket

   I got the chance to try a product that I found just playing around on the internet. Before I say what it is I will say my mother and I are super happy with it. It is a Pamipocket. http://pamipocket.com/ They are a tiny bag that you can put around your neck to carry your cell phone. It is splash and spilt proof as-well. 

   My mother is not a fan of carrying any bags at all and keeps everything in her pockets. She has a habit of losing money and such because she does this, when I got this I knew who would be perfect to try it out on. She is also not an easy going person, she is rough on everything. She has been using it a few days now and loves it. It is bigger than you think and can hold more than just your cell phone. It holds honestly everything that she needs; cell phone, all her cards, cash, and a lighter. She puts it over her neck and she is out the door. It leaves her hands free to do everything. She never puts it down and forgets about it anywhere and she does not lose anything out of it. She got it caught once or twice and tugged on the strap and it did not break. I was a little worried about that because it is a breaded nylon type strap, but it is on there really good. I pulled on it and played with it and the strap is thin but it seems to be nice and strong.  I am not sure what the fabric is but I love the feel of it. Since she has had it and has been showing it to everyone my Aunt and Grandmother both ordered one. They are in love with the hands free idea. We have a casino close to us that they love going to it. This bag will be better and safer bet for them while there. They only have to carry what they need and they can put the pouch right in the front of their body and not have to worry about anyone touching it.

It is a great little purse/pocket that works great to hold all your basic needs when you are going out. I think it would be great for mothers with little ones, gives you the extra free hand to use taking care of your baby and all the baby stuff. Also it gives everyone easy access to their cell phone when it is needed. I give it an A and I think anyone could think of a time that they needed something just like it while they are out. Ok this is the last part to my AXE review. Sorry it took a bit, I have been so sick I did not want to move. The last things I am going to talk about are two styling products and a bodywash.

   The body wash is a new 2in1 body and hair wash in Jet.  This is the strongest of the three body washes. It is a straight up manly smell. When I think of a man’s soap this is the smell I think of, strong, assertive, and confident. I did not attempt to use this one at all on me, because it was such a manly smell. I will say that I LOVE how it makes the bathroom smell when the guys are using it. I could sit in the bathroom and just smell it until it fades away. When they are done the shower and if they do not use a body spray you can still smell it throughout the day, which is great. I love when my boyfriend has something on that has a great smell; it makes me want to hug him so much more. This body wash also rises off the body perfectly and makes them feel super clean. Out of the three body washes I do not think I can really pick the best one. I love these scents and I think the best way to wear or use them for me is rotate the smells, lol, that way I get to always smell something new.

   The next thing is the Hold+Touch styling products. There is the cream wax for think hair and Paste for fine hair. AXE always has great colors on their products that stand out and always look so good together, and these are no let down either; simple but great eye popping colors. To me they both smell the same. It is a great kind of coconutish smell. I really enjoy the smell; I used it in my own hair and kept smelling my hair. I think people thought I might be a little weird, but that is ok with me.  There is a difference in the consistence with them that is very noticeable. I have very fine hair so I went right for the Paste. It comes out and kind of looks like the paste we played with in school as kids. I have very straight fine hair that has a hard time holding curls and I wanted to see if this would help me hold some. Once I toweled dried my hair I took in total about a quarter size amount and got it throughout my hair. Then I scrunched my hair until I had some nice waves in it. Out the door I went for my busy day, when I got home, I still had waves in my hair, YaY. It held pretty well, I would give it an A for what it kept going in my hair. Also my hair was still move able and pretty touchable. There were spots that were a little crunchy, but I am sure it was spots that I had not spread the product out well enough in.  I like the product very much overall. The other one was the cream wax for think hair. I used this one on my little brother because he was the only guy with hair and it is super thick. It was so super easy to spike his hair. It was like once I started to run my fingers in his hair it was spiked. It worked so well and was super-fast to do. It held his hair all day long and there was only a few spots that were crunchy again. I think that was just too much product in the areas. All in all I really liked these styling products. I think they worked great, honestly better than I thought that they would.

   Everything that I have tried I am in love with. All the products live up to what they say they do, and smell so good. If you have not tried anything from AXE I recommend that you do. More Great AXE products

This is to go along with my review from the other day. Today I am going to talk about the men’s Axe line in Anarchy. We got to use the deodorant, body spray, and body wash. After the men in my home got done using it all I will say they smelled sooooo good. I do not like many men’s products that have a scent; they are usually too strong or to musky for me.  The AXE lines, I have not come across that yet. This line nailed it again. 

   First is the revitalizing body wash in Anarchy. I wish I could describe smells better to help you better understand how good it smells. It is bathroom filling scent and it does give you such a refreshed feeling as you use it and smell it. This one I did not use on myself because it was such a strong guy scent, but all the guys did, and I used it on my hands for see how well it comes off. This one is just as good as the other body wash. It rinses so good and leaves you feeling so clean. The guys said it lathered so good and worked super well with AXE buffer thing.  After getting out of the shower you could still smell it one them and it filled the house. It did not dry out anyone’s skin. All five guys gave it huge thumbs up. The females love the smell and agreed with the guys. I think it is a great scent, rinses so good and does not dry out your sink, plus it has that great pick- me- up to it.

   The next thing is the men’s 24h deodorant in Anarchy. Being a girl I have to say I love the color of it. It is such a great light blue. This is a gel deodorant which is honestly new to the family and I. The first thing we noticed is that it is wet feeling for about 20 seconds. I am guessing all gels are like this, because right after those 20 seconds you no longer know it is there. The smell is a little bit different than the body wash. It is more of a fruity or sweet under tone, but it works perfect with the body wash. After a full long hard day at work and the gym the guys all came home, and I was thinking oh god they are all going to need full showers and smell so bad. I was wrong. The deodorant held its own. You could smell it almost as strong as when they went. It worked so well to hide the yucky sweaty smell that they usually had at the end of the day. The only thing that they had bad to say was that, it does not block all the sweat, they could still feel a little bit of wetness, not enough to make them not want to use the product though. They loved that the scent had lasted all day and stayed so strong and that is most important to them. So overall, they love how well it works and the smell and will keep using it. They are excited to see what other smells that AXE makes in deodorant so they can try them all to see if they work this well. For the girl side, we are very thank full that it keeps them smelling good at the end of the day, so we do not have to hold our breath for that first hug when they get home.

   The last part of the set we have is the body spray in Anarchy. This can is just like the woman’s just in blue, black, gray, and gold.  Great graphics and I love how they open and close because you can carry them and not worry about getting them all over the place. This scent is a little different from the other two products as well, it has like a powder undertone to it. I LOVE it; it is my favorite out of the set. I am glad that it is the finishing part to it all. All three of them together makes the guys smell so good. This spray works as well as the woman’s. The guys put it on in the afternoon and you could smell it in the morning on their clothes. That once again is staying power. I love products that have staying power, and I am always willing to pay a little more because you will use less of the product so it will last long. AXE is a super deal because the smells are so good, and last a long time. They are also easy on the wallet. I have not seen AXE for over 6 dollars in my area, and it is almost always on sale around here. I am so happy with this new scent and I hope that everyone will try it. AXE products

I got to try some new products from Axe and I have to say they did it again. J I have a lot to try so this will be a two maybe three part review. I will start with telling everyone about the biggest surprise, the new woman’s bodyspray. <3 The can says limited time and that makes me sad L I will stock up now and horde it. First off I love the can it is in, pink, black, and white equals perfect in my book. It is kind of a flower, fruit type smell, called Anarchy. Please forgive me I stink at explaining smells. Lol. I know it is going to be a great everyday all day smell for summer. Just smelling it now reminds me of summer. This also has great staying power. I put it on at about noon time yesterday and I could smell in this morning before my shower. It was not a very over powering smell, for me it was just right. It gives the guys a hint of something as we walk by. I have been dying for a woman’s AXE line I honestly did not realize that had one coming out until I got this box. I cannot tell you how super excited I was and still am. I LOVE this scent, the can, the staying power all of it. I had my younger sister and my mother both try it to and they agreed with me about it all. My father, brother, boyfriend and his brother thought it was a great scent for a woman. I am hoping that this line moves into lotion and or body wash as-well. So the overall, I am super happy with this product and will tell everyone I can to give it a try.

 The next thing that I tried was the 2 in1 Body + hair in Sportsblast. It is a re-energizing wash for after sports. The first thing about it is the color, such a great blue. Now yes this is a men’s product but I tried it along with my brother, I wanted to see what it was like and how well it cleaned and rinsed off the body. When using it in the shower the scent fills up the whole bathroom. It is another great smell from AXE. It is kind of a lemon citrus type smell. They always seem to nail the scents. It lathers great and went on as good if not better than my current Bath & Body works shower gel. Now the best part was how good it rinsed off. I felt squeaky clean once it was off of me. It did not dry my skin out either. The scent is not very strong and is almost gone once you are out of the shower, but I was ok with that and so were the guys because it leaves a fresh base to add one of their bodysprays. It does give you a little bit of a pick up while using it. I used it when I first woke up and it was like wake-up call and made me happy. Now when I asked the guys they did say all the same things but in a men’s way. They said, “yep we like it, we are clean, do not smell like a girl, and would use it again and again.”

 Both of these products are great. I am so happy with them. I will get another review of more products tomorrow or the day after. I am trying to use all a little bit so I can see how they are over a few days and see how they really work. I <3 AXE and think that their new line of products are keepers.

   I got a few samples from BIGELOW tea the other day and I wanted to talk about the ones that I have been able to try. First this is a family run company from Fairfield CT. They sent me so much information about the benefits of tea and all about their company. They talk about their 300 employees, so it is a pretty small company. Small companies seem to always put such care into their products; I personally like to get things from smaller companies or mom and pop brand just for that reason. Since starting this blog I like to also go to the company’s web page to find out what I can about them and their products, so here is their site if you would like to check them out. http://www.bigelowtea.com/. It is a great site with recipes, information about the tea and tells you about some of the projects they do with the community.

  Now to the tea, the first one I tried was their Earl Grey. When I opened it, it had such a nice spiced type smell. I heated my water poured it over the bag and steeped for two minutes. It released much more of the smell, filled the whole dining room. After adding my sugar and relaxing, I got my first sip. It was so good. Nice and smooth with that nice spiced flavor.  It was my first time having Earl Grey tea and I really enjoyed it. It is a tea that I could pick up and drink again and again. I am wondering how it would be made into ice tea, I will have to try that next and fill you all in.

   The next one I tried was their Vanilla Chai tea. I LOVED it. I love chai tea and I usually get it from coffee shops because I did not think I could get a good one at home. Boy, was I wrong. Drinking it was just like getting one from the coffee house but WAY cheaper. I loved the smell of the vanilla and all the spices. It made my house smell so good, I wish I could make it last. I heated the water then poured it over; I found steeping it for 3 minutes worked great. All I had to do was add a little sugar and I was all set. I went out the next day and got a box of these, and have had one every morning with breakfast. I am in love with it.

    I have a few more of the samples to get through and I will try to have them all done by the end of the week so I can tell you about how they are. If they are as good as these two, they will all be great. I am really really happy I found this tea. I got my box at Target just because that was where I was headed and it cost me 2.34, so not a bad price either. I hope everyone gives them a try. I got to try the BEST beef and turkey jerk this week. It comes from a company called Perky Jerky. I had never heard about them until I came across the company while web searching and now I want to help get their name out there. It was started by two guys at a ski lodge after a long night having fun. I have to say thank you for that night and coming up with this jerky. First off where can you get it you ask? Well it can be found online at http://www.perkyjerky.com/ or 7-11, GNC, Target, Best Buy, and Home Depot. I am going to Target tomorrow to stock up on it. What it is? It is jerky that they have infused in some magical way with energy drinks. It has made it such a great texture and so tender and easy to chew. Out of the two flavors, I loved them both but the Turkey was my favorite. The turkey was just a little thinner, because of the meat and I just personally like that. They both start out sweet like a teriyaki type flavor but as you chew it ends in peppercorn. It is the perfect mix of sweet and heat. After eating a bag of it, I could feel that perk of energy that they talked about as well. It was not like an energy drink either, that I was crashing from a few hours later. I used it as a snack in the afternoon after missing lunch and it cured my hunger and made my tummy and mouth super happy. Each bite made me want more. I am sad I am all out and I cannot wait to get out tomorrow to get some more. If you like jerky you HAVE to try this jerky; you can't go wrong with it. Check out their website too, I really enjoyed that and had fun looking at it and reading about the company and how they got started. I love the packing for it as well. They picked great colors and pictures. It is simple, easy to read and understand and straight to the point. I will say it again; this is the BEST jerky that I have ever eaten. I will not go back to the other brands now that I have found Perky Jerky and I hope that everyone who reads this will at least give it a try.
